Doubt. Çeker suspects the book never existed and that a 'letter' was misread as a 'book'.

Father and son bore the same name; Çeker argues for the son, a teacher of Qāḍīkhān who lived in Bukhara and sent al-Makkī letters with reports on Abū Ḥanīfa. The first mention of the book comes five centuries later.
