حُدّثت عن أحمد بن عبد الملك، قال: حدثنا سهل بن محمد، قال: حدثنا عامر بن الفرات، قال: حدثنا أبو حنيفة، عن حماد، عن إبراهيم رحمة الله عليهم، أنه قال في الزوج والمرأة: أنهما بمنزلة ذي الرحم في الهبة.

I was told from Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd al-Malik, who said: Sahl ibn Muḥammad related to us. He said: ʿĀmir ibn al-Furāt related to us. He said: Abū Ḥanīfa related to us, from Ḥammād, from Ibrāhīm, may God have mercy on them, That he said concerning husband and wife: In the matter of gifts, they have the status of a blood relative.
