ʿAbd al-Karīm ibn Hilāl (printed “أبيه”)

Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad informed us: Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā al-Ḥāzimī related to us: My father related to us: al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAbd al-Karīm ibn Hilāl informed us, from his father, who said: I heard Abū Ḥanīfa say, ‘When I find a matter in God’s Book or in the Sunna of God’s Messenger—God bless him and his family and grant him peace—I adopt it and do not turn away from it. When the Companions—may God be pleased with them—differ, I choose from their statements. When it comes from those after them, I accept some and leave some.’
