وعن حماد، عن مجاهد، وسعيد بن جبير، أنهما قالا: إن الشيطان أشد فراراً من أحدكم عنه، فإذا عرض لأحدكم فلا تهربوا منه، فيركبكم ولكن شدِّدوا عليه فيهرب.

And from Ḥammād, from Mujāhid and Saʿīd ibn Jubayr: They both said: Satan is more eager to flee from one of you than you are to flee from him. If he presents himself to one of you, do not flee from him, lest he overpower you. Rather, be firm against him, and he will flee.
