حدثنا محمد بن علي السمسار البلخي، قال: حدثنا محمد بن أبي بكر المقدمي، قال: حدثني الحكم بن ظهير، قال: حدثنا أبو حنيفة، عن ثابت البناني، عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما: أنه شرب لبناً ولم يتوضأ، وقال: لا تُبالِه، اسمح يُسْمح لك.

Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī al-Simsār al-Balkhī related to us: Muḥammad ibn Abī Bakr al-Muqaddamī related to us: al-Ḥakam ibn Ẓuhayr related to me: Abū Ḥanīfa related to us, from Thābit al-Bunānī, from Ibn ʿAbbās—may God be pleased with them both: He drank milk without performing ablution and said, ‘Pay no heed to it. Be lenient, and leniency will be shown to you.’
