He asked her: “What is your situation?” She said: “I have vowed to God to make the pilgrimage on foot, naked, with [my hair] undone. So I travel by night and hide by day.” He came and told the Prophet, peace be upon him, about that. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “Go back and instruct her to put on her clothes and offer a sacrificial animal.”
The switch from the Messenger’s direct encounter to a male reporter who comes to inform him is retained as printed; it is not silently harmonized.

But concerning the description God gave: ‘The believers are only those whose hearts tremble when God is mentioned, whose faith increases when His verses are recited to them, and who rely upon their Lord; those who establish prayer and spend from what We have provided them. They are truly the believers; they have degrees with their Lord, forgiveness and generous provision’ [al-Anfāl 2–4], I do not know whether I am among them or not.” And he said: “Abū Ḥanīfa is a doubter, by the Lord of the Kaʿba.”
The questioner and respondent are left as pronouns where the Arabic leaves them implicit. The printed final nominal statement “Abū Ḥanīfa is a doubter” is retained; punctuation is not silently moved to turn it into “Abū Ḥanīfa said: a doubter”.
