حدثنا الربيع بن حسان، قال: حدثنا أبو كريب، قال: حدثنا أبو معاوية، قال: كان عمر بن ذر يحضر مجلس أبي حنيفة رحمة الله عليه، وكانت بينه وبينه مودة، وكان عمر بن ذر يدعو له في مجلسه إذا جلس للناس.

Al-Rabīʿ ibn Ḥassān related to us. He said: Abū Kurayb related to us. He said: Abū Muʿāwiya related to us. He said: ʿUmar ibn Dharr used to attend Abū Ḥanīfa’s gathering, may God have mercy on him. There was affection between them. When ʿUmar ibn Dharr sat to address people, he would pray for him in his gathering.
