حدثنا أحمد بن محمد، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نوفل، قال: حدثنا عبيد بن يعيش، قال: حدثنا إسماعيل بن شعيب السمّان، قال: رأيت سفيان إذا كبّر على الجنازة أربعاً انصرف، وكان أبو حنيفة يقف حتى يكبّر الخامسة.

Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad related to us: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Nawfal related to us: ʿUbayd ibn Yaʿīsh related to us: Ismāʿīl ibn Shuʿayb al-Sammān related to us: I saw that when Sufyān had pronounced four takbīrs over a funeral, he would leave, while Abū Ḥanīfa would remain until the fifth takbīr was pronounced.
