حدثنا جيهان بن أبي الحسن الفرغاني، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن حرب، قال: حدثنا أصرم بن حوشب، عن أبي حنيفة، عن حماد، عن إبراهيم رحمة الله عليهم، عن ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال: نسخت القصرى كل عدة ﴿وَأُولَاتُ الْأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَن يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ﴾ [الطلاق: ٤].

Related to us: Jīhān ibn Abī al-Ḥasan al-Farghānī; he said: related to us: Aḥmad ibn Ḥarb; he said: related to us: Aṣram ibn Ḥawshab, from Abū Ḥanīfa, from Ḥammād, from Ibrāhīm—may God have mercy on them—from Ibn Masʿūd—may God be pleased with him—who said: The shorter sura superseded every waiting period: “The term of pregnant women is until they deliver their pregnancy” [al-Ṭalāq 4].
The shorter sura is the source’s designation al-quṣrā; no unstated limitation of the claim is added.
