حدثنا أحمد بن أبي صالح البلخي، قال: حدثنا محمود بن خداش، قال: حدثنا سيف بن محمد، قال:لم يكن في عهد أبي حنيفة أحد أكثر صلاةً منه.

Aḥmad ibn Abī Ṣāliḥ al-Balkhī related to us: Maḥmūd ibn Khidāsh related to us: Sayf ibn Muḥammad related to us: In Abū Ḥanīfa’s time, no one prayed more than he did.
كتب إلي صالح بن أبي رميح، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن سليمان، قال: حدثنا جمهور بن منصور، قال: حدثنا سيف بن محمد، قال: حدثنا النعمان بن ثابت أبو حنيفة رحمة الله عليه، عن زيد بن أسلم، عن عطاء بن يسار، عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما، قال:ألا أخبركم بوضوء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم، فغرف لكل عضو غرفة.

Ṣāliḥ ibn Abī Rumayḥ wrote to me: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Sulaymān related to us: Jumhūr ibn Manṣūr related to us: Sayf ibn Muḥammad related to us: al-Nuʿmān ibn Thābit Abū Ḥanīfa—may God have mercy on him—related to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār, from Ibn ʿAbbās—may God be pleased with them both—who said: ‘Shall I not tell you about the ablution of the Messenger of God—God bless him and his family and grant him peace?’ He then scooped one handful for each limb.
