حدثنا محمد بن القاسم البلخي، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم بن حيّان، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن بهلول، قال: سمعت أبا ضمرة يذكر أبا حنيفة بالجميل ويقول: العجب منه كيف تُهيَّأ له العبادة مع شغله ذاك.

Muḥammad ibn al-Qāsim al-Balkhī related to us. He said: Ibrāhīm ibn Ḥayyān related to us. He said: Isḥāq ibn Buhlūl related to us. He said: I heard Abū Ḍamra speak well of Abū Ḥanīfa and say: “What is remarkable about him is how he finds the opportunity for worship despite all his occupations.”
