Aḥmad ibn Muẓaffar ibn Yaʿqūb al-Juʿfī

Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad related to us. He said: Aḥmad ibn Muẓaffar ibn Yaʿqūb al-Juʿfī related to us. He said: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān related to us. He said: I heard my father relate from his father. He said: He went with Abū Ḥanīfa to Mecca and met ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Rabāḥ. After returning, he would say: ‘I asked ʿAṭāʾ,’ and ‘I said to ʿAṭāʾ.’ He said: ‘ʿAṭāʾ was the most knowledgeable of those remaining about pilgrimage. I went for an ʿumra in Rajab and met ʿAṭāʾ and Ibn Abī Mulayka, may God have mercy on them both, and the people of the Hijaz; among the people of Medina, Abū Jaʿfar, Nāfiʿ, and others. May God have mercy on them.’
