حدثنا إبراهيم بن معقل بن الحجاج النسفي، قال: حدثنا إسماعيل بن بهرام من جيران أبي كريب، قال: حدثنا عمرو بن جبير الأزدي عن محمد بن السماك، قال:سألت أبا حنيفة رحمة الله عليه: من صلى على عثمان رضي الله عنه؟ قال: الحسن بن علي رضي الله عنهما.

Ibrāhīm ibn Maʿqil ibn al-Ḥajjāj al-Nasafī related to us: Ismāʿīl ibn Bahrām, one of Abū Kurayb’s neighbors, related to us: ʿAmr ibn Jubayr al-Azdī related to us, from Muḥammad ibn al-Sammāk, who said: I asked Abū Ḥanīfa—may God have mercy on him—‘Who offered the funeral prayer over ʿUthmān—may God be pleased with him?’ He said, ‘Al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī—may God be pleased with them both.’
كتب إليَّ صالح بن محمد بن أبي رميح، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن إسماعيل البخاري، قال: حدثنا جدي الحسن بن عثمان، قال: حدثنا محمد بن السماك، عن أبي حنيفة رحمة الله عليه، عن الزهري عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ:«إذا قرِّب العشاء وأذن المؤذن فابدؤوا بالعشاء».

Ṣāliḥ ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī Rumayḥ wrote to me: Yaḥyā ibn Ismāʿīl al-Bukhārī related to us: My grandfather al-Ḥasan ibn ʿUthmān related to us: Muḥammad ibn al-Sammāk related to us, from Abū Ḥanīfa—may God have mercy on him—from al-Zuhrī, from Anas ibn Mālik—may God be pleased with him—who said: The Messenger of God—God bless him and grant him peace—said: ‘When supper is served and the caller gives the call to prayer, begin with supper.’
