Uḥayd ibn Jarīr ibn al-Musayyab al-Luʾluʾī al-Balkhī

[Aḥyad ibn] Jarīr ibn al-Musayyab al-Luʾluʾī al-Balkhī related to us: Huraym ibn Misʿar ibn Rāshid ibn Ḥumrān Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Tirmidhī related to us: Abū Bakr ibn ʿAyyāsh related to us: Abū Ḥanīfa—may God have mercy on him—informed us: I entered upon al-Shaʿbī and asked, ‘What do you say about someone who ties up his house for his children?’ He said, ‘There is no tying up of property against God’s prescribed inheritance shares, Mighty and Majestic.’

The repeated language of ḥabs denotes setting property aside; the answer’s relationship to inheritance shares is translated without adding a later legal classification.

Uḥayd ibn Jarīr ibn al-Musayyab al-Luʾluʾī related to us. He said: Yaḥyā ibn Aktham related to us. He said: Wahb ibn Jarīr ibn Ḥāzim related to us. He said: My father related to me, from Abū Ḥanīfa, from Ziyād ibn ʿIlāqa, from ʿAmr ibn Maymūn, from ʿĀʾisha, may God be pleased with her: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to kiss while fasting.

Uhayd ibn Jarir ibn al-Musayyab al-Luʾluʾi al-Balkhi related to us; he said: ʿAbda ibn ʿAbd Allah related to us; he said: ʿAbd Allah ibn Dawud related to us, from Abu Hanifa, from Yazid al-Faqir, from Jabir, may God be pleased with him; he said: God will bring a people out of the Fire through the intercession of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.

Uhayd ibn Jarir ibn al-Musayyab al-Jawhari related to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Sulayman al-Massisi related to us; he said: Abu ʿAwana related to us; he said: Abu Hanifa related to us, from ʿAsim, from Abu Razin, from Ibn ʿAbbas, may God be pleased with them both; he said: Whoever has intercourse with an animal is not subject to a prescribed punishment.
