Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, a descendant of al-ʿĀṣ ibn Hishām ibn al-Mughīra

Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad informed us. He said: Aḥmad ibn Zuhayr related to us. He said: Muṣʿab ibn ʿAbd Allāh related to me. He said: Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, a descendant of al-ʿĀṣ ibn Hishām ibn al-Mughīra, related to me. He said: I sat with Abū Ḥanīfa, may God have mercy on him, and he began speaking. I listened to him for a while, then left him. He said: I do not know whether I should leave this matter or not. It is merely speech that he attributes to no one and in which he cites no one as authority.
