Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf al-Zubaydī

Abu al-Hasan Muhammad ibn Salih ibn ʿAbd Allah al-Tabari related to us in Rayy; he said: Muhammad ibn Yusuf al-Zabidi related to us; he said: Abu Qurra informed us; he said: Abu Hanifa related to us, from ʿAtaʾ ibn al-Saʾib, from his father, from ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿAmr, may God be pleased with him, from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace: In the report concerning the day the sun was eclipsed, he saw the Fire and saw in it a dark-skinned Himyari woman being punished over a cat she had tied up, neither feeding it nor letting it eat the small creatures of the earth. He mentioned this much of the report.

Jaʿfar ibn Shuʿayb al-Shashi and Muhammad ibn Salih related to us; they said: Muhammad ibn Yusuf related to us; he said: Abu Qurra informed us; he said: Ibn Jurayj mentioned from al-Zuhri that he related to him from Abu Salama ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayra, may God be pleased with him, that a man said: Messenger of God! May a man pray in a single garment? The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: Does every one of you have two garments? Abu Qurra said: I also heard Abu Hanifa mention from al-Zuhri, from Saʿid ibn al-Musayyab, from Abu Hurayra, may God be pleased with him, from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that report; he said: Not all of you can find two garments.
