حدثنا أحمد بن محمد، قال: حدثنا عبيد بن حمدون الرؤاسي، قال: حدثني حسن بن طريف بن ناصح، قال: سمعت أبي، يقول: رأيت الأعمش ومسعراً وجالستهما، وأبا حنيفة وجالسته، وسفيان وجالسته، ما رأيت أحداً أهيَبَ بديهة ولا أوقر مجلساً من موسى بن عبد الله بن الحسن.

Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad related to us: ʿUbayd ibn Ḥamdūn al-Ruʾāsī related to us: Ḥasan ibn Ṭarīf ibn Nāṣiḥ related to me: I heard my father say: I saw al-Aʿmash and Misʿar and sat with them; Abū Ḥanīfa, and sat with him; and Sufyān, and sat with him. I have never seen anyone more imposing at first encounter or more dignified in a gathering than Mūsā ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥasan.
