حدثنا محمد بن القاسم البلخي، قال: حدثنا موسى بن نصر، قال: سمعت جريراً، يقول: كان المغيرة يلومني إذا لم أحضر مجلس أبي حنيفة، ويقول لي الزمه، ولا تغب عن مجلسه، فإنا كنا نجتمع عند حماد، فلم يكن يفتح لنا من العلم ما كان يفتح له.
Show English translation
Muḥammad ibn al-Qāsim al-Balkhī related to us. He said: Mūsā ibn Naṣr related to us. He said: I heard Jarīr say: Al-Mughīra used to blame me when I did not attend Abū Ḥanīfa’s gathering. He would tell me: ‘Keep close to him and do not be absent from his gathering. We used to gather with Ḥammād, but the knowledge opened to him was not opened to us.’
