Muḥammad ibn Sallām Abū Naṣr

Muḥammad ibn Sallām, Abū Naṣr, related to us. He said: I heard Bukayr ibn Yaḥyā say: I heard Muḥammad ibn Samāʿa say: I heard Abū Yūsuf say: ʿUmar ibn Dharr used to say: ‘Abū Ḥanīfa speaks with justice.’ He said: I also heard Abū Yūsuf say that ʿUmar ibn Dharr used to say: ‘Wherever we were with Abū Ḥanīfa, may God have mercy on him, he surpassed everyone through his jurisprudence, knowledge, and scrupulousness.’
