Muḥammad ibn Ziyād ibn ʿIlāqa

Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad informed us: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ismāʿīl ibn Abī al-Ḥakam related to us: Abū Ḥudhayfa al-Thaʿlabī related to us, from Muḥammad ibn Ziyād ibn ʿIlāqa, who said: I said to my father, ‘Abū Ḥanīfa transmitted a report from you about the plague?’ A man said to him, ‘Who is Yazīd ibn al-Ḥārith?’ He said, ‘I do not know.’ Then he said, ‘My son, Yazīd ibn al-Ḥārith is a man of our people who witnessed the conquest of al-Qādisiyya. This is his house,’ and he pointed toward it.
