الحكم (report 217; identity unresolved)

Al-Qāsim ibn ʿAbbād and Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAlī al-Tirmidhī related to us. They said: al-Ḥasan ibn Muṭīʿ related to us. He said: Ismāʿīl ibn Ḥammād related to us, from al-Ḥakam, from Hishām, who said: I was with Ḥammād ibn Abī Sulaymān when Abū Ḥanīfa came. He kept discussing a question until his face reddened. When he rose, Ḥammād said: ‘As you see him in his jurisprudence, this man also has long nights of worship.’

The phrase “has a long night” is rendered as long nights of worship in context.
