حُدِّثت عن هارون بن معروف، قال: حدثنا ضمرة بن ربيعة، قال: حدثنا العلاء بن هارون، قال:قال أبو حنيفة: سألت الشعبي عن مسألة، فقال: ما يقول فيها بنو اِستها قال: فما عدت إليه.

I was told from Harun ibn Maʿruf; he said: Damra ibn Rabiʿa related to us; he said: al-ʿAlaʾ ibn Harun related to us; he said: Abu Hanifa said: I asked al-Shaʿbi a question, and he said: What do the sons of her backside say about it? He said: I never returned to him.
The vulgar expression بنو استها is retained without supplying the unnamed woman's identity or replacing it with a conjectured group name.

حدثنا محمد بن إبراهيم بن زياد، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله العماري، قال: حدثنا ضمرة بن ربيعة، عن أبي حنيفة رحمة الله عليه، عن طلحة، عن أنس رضي الله عنهأنه رأى عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه يمسح على الخفين، ولو لم ير رسول الله ﷺ مسح ما مسح.

Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn Ziyad related to us; he said: Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allah al-ʿAmmari related to us; he said: Damra ibn Rabiʿa related to us, from Abu Hanifa, may God have mercy on him, from Talha, from Anas, may God be pleased with him: He saw ʿAbd Allah ibn Masʿud, may God be pleased with him, wipe over his leather socks. Had he not seen the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, wipe, he would not have wiped.
