Abū al-Jahm al-Azraq ibn ʿAlī

Related to us: Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Ziyād al-Rāzī; he said: related to us: al-Azraq ibn ʿAlī Abū al-Jahm; he said: related to us: Ḥassān ibn Ibrāhīm, from Abū Ḥanīfa, from Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Muntashir, from his father, from Masrūq—may God have mercy on them: He asked ʿĀʾisha—may God be pleased with her—about the character of the Messenger of God, peace be upon him. She said: “Do you not read the Qurʾān: ‘You are indeed of magnificent character’ [al-Qalam 4]?”
