حدثنا جعفر بن شعيب الشاشي ومحمد بن صالح، قالا: حدثنا محمد بن يوسف، قال: أخبرنا أبو قرة قال: ذكر ابن جريج عن الزهري أنه حدثه عن أبي سلمة بن عبدالرحمن، عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، أن رجلاً قال: يا رسول الله! هل يصلي الرجل في الثوب الواحد؟ فقال النبي عليه السلام: «أو لكلكم ثوبان»؟ قال أبو قرة: وسمعت أبا حنيفة يذكر عن الزهري، عن سعيد بن المسيب، عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن النبي ﷺ بذلك، وقال: «ما كلكم يجد ثوبين».

Jaʿfar ibn Shuʿayb al-Shashi and Muhammad ibn Salih related to us; they said: Muhammad ibn Yusuf related to us; he said: Abu Qurra informed us; he said: Ibn Jurayj mentioned from al-Zuhri that he related to him from Abu Salama ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayra, may God be pleased with him, that a man said: Messenger of God! May a man pray in a single garment? The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: Does every one of you have two garments? Abu Qurra said: I also heard Abu Hanifa mention from al-Zuhri, from Saʿid ibn al-Musayyab, from Abu Hurayra, may God be pleased with him, from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that report; he said: Not all of you can find two garments.
