حدثنا جيهان بن أبي الحسن، قال: سمعت بشر بن يحيى، يقول: سمعت ابن المبارك، يقول: سفيان سفيان، فإذا جاء أبو حنيفة فهو شيء آخر، أغاثني الله به، أغاثني الله به.

Jīhān ibn Abī al-Ḥasan related to us. He said: I heard Bishr ibn Yaḥyā say: I heard Ibn al-Mubārak say: Sufyān is Sufyān. But when Abū Ḥanīfa comes, he is something else. God came to my aid through him; God came to my aid through him.
