Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī b. Muḥammad al-Ṣaymarī

The first Ḥanafī ṭabaqāt, finished in 404/1014 by the qadi of Karkh. Half is a biography of Abū Ḥanīfa that set the pattern for later manāqib; the rest covers his students and 47 later Ḥanafīs, mostly Iraqi. Every later compilation uses it.
